Environmental Adequacy and Management Programme Brazil nut Processing Plant

WHITE LION FOODS is an industrial company engaged in the primary economic activity of processing and preserving fruits, vegetables, and legumes (CIIU Rev 4 – 1030). It operates an industrial plant located in Sector Alegría S/N, Las Piedras district, Tambopata province, Madre de Dios department.

 

At the request of WHITE LION FOODS, the current Environmental Adequacy and Management Programme (PAMA) for its Industrial Plant has been developed. The purpose of this programme is to initiate the environmental adjustment process with the relevant authority, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI).

 

The Environmental Adequacy and Management Programme (PAMA) was prepared in accordance with the provisions of the “Environmental Management Regulations of the Agricultural Sector,” approved by D.S. No 019-2012-AG, Guide for the preparation of Environmental Adequacy and Management Programme  (PAMA) in the Agricultural Sector, and the “Regulations for Citizen Participation in the Evaluation, Approval, and Monitoring of Environmental Management Instruments of the Agricultural Sector,” approved by D.S. No 018-2012-AG.

 

The present PAMA complies with the identification of the possible problems and effects of environmental deterioration, generated as a consequence of the development of the productive activities of the WHITE LION FOODS Industrial Plant.
